Shiju AR is an Indian actor with a varied career that has included work in both Mollywood and Tollywood, as well as a brief international film exposure under the stage name Devi Shiju. Shiju was born in Ernakulam, Kerala on August 4th, 1974 to Rasheed and Ayisha. After graduating from St. Albert’s College in Ernakulam and the S.S.M Polytechnic College in Tirur, he entered the film world in 1996. His Tamil film debut was Mahaprabhu, which was directed by Venkatesh A. and where he played the part of a villain, giving him his first major break. His roles in Telugu films Devi and Manasantha Nuvve were followed by Simharasi, Nuvu Naaku Natchav, and so on.

He has directed and produced several multi-lingual films, including In the Name of Buddha in English in 2002, followed by True Identity in English in 2002; his works on television serials include Akashadoothu on Surya TV and Sooryakaladi on Amrita TV. Shiju made his comeback in 2013 with Proprietors: Kammath & Kammath, an action-comedy directed by Rajasenan featuring Mammootty and Dileep. He played Sunnichan, the brother of Karthika Nair’s character, in this film.
