Pavan Malhotra is an Indian actor who has appeared in Hindi films and television. He began his career in 1984 as a costume department assistant. He is best recognized for his role as Irfan Khan in Mohit Chadda’s Telugu blockbuster Aithe (2003) and Tiger Memon in Black Friday (2004), both of which were major box office successes.
Pavan Malhotra was born on July 2, 1958, in New Delhi, India. His father’s name was Trilok Raj Malhotra, and his mother’s name was Asha Rani Malhotra. He has four siblings: two elder brothers and two elder sisters. Pavan attended Manav Sthali School for his primary and secondary education. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Arts from Hansraj College, Delhi University, after completing his graduation.

Pavan began his career as a costume assistant on Gandhi. He was a production assistant on Jaane Bhi Do Yaro, Mohan Joshi Hazir Ho. After moving to Mumbai, he began working for the program Yeh jo Hai Zindagi in 1984 as an assistant. In 1986, he made his television debut in the series Nukkad. In addition to that, he appeared in many popular shows such as CID, Karishma- The Miracles of Destiny, Zameen Aasmaan, and Laagi Tujhse Lagan.

Pavan is also active in the Hindi film industry. He has appeared in over 100 feature films in his 35-year career. In 1985, he made his cinematic debut with Khamosh. His other notable movies are the City of Joy (1992), Tarpan (1994), Brothers in Trouble (1995), Earth (1998), Fakir (1998), The Perfect Husband (2003), Black Friday (2004), Eashwar Mime Co.
