Harisree Ashokan is a well-known Mollywood actor who has played comedic parts in movies. Harisree began as a mimicry artist at the Kalabhavan of Cochin before pursuing an acting career in films. The Kalabhavan was founded by legendary actor Jayaram. Babu, as his birth name is, was born in Thrissur and grew up there before moving to Cochin for high school. He attended Ernakulam High School until he completed his Tenth Standard, after which he enrolled at the Cochin Institute of Technology to get a diploma in telecommunications engineering.
Harisree Ashokan Biography
In 1984, he joined Cochin Telecom as an assistant to the line maintainer. In 1987, while working as a lineman, he was persuaded to join Kalabhavan for his mimicry skills. He served as a mimicry artist for six years afterward. Harisree enjoys performing comedies and has been in many events. Siddique recognized Ashokan’s distinct sense of humor and included him in his film Ramji Rao Speaking on one such occasion.
